Nida In The Midst
We drove to Nida plateau (1400m) at 20kph in thick midst expecting a very wet walk. But there was daylight on the far side.
It was raining in Northern Crete but we broke through to the sunny South, where we found a beautiful forest but not the Kameres Cave which we were looking for.
And a goat’s skull.

Of note Poppy was awful. She has chased her last goat, and can expect to spend more weekends at home.

Pot Noodles and Cheese On Toast
Mum and Dad have stocked my cupboard with food from home.
Curry flavoured pot noodles are the best and remind me of the times I was ill and missing school, but would recover in time for lunch and a pot noodle. And then Going For Gold on TV.
And cheddar cheese on toast, prepared with a little mayonnaise underneath and Worcester Sauce on top. Like the advert.

Kingfisher
The kingfishers in the harbour stay a safe 20 meters away and disappear when I get my camera out. This is as close as I can get without a telescopic lens.
