The Unsolvable Film Choice Problem
Just a quicky, cos I’m hogging the PC and Danae wants to watch “Match Point”.
Honestly I’m not that excited. But Danae and I have polar opposite tastes in films. She watches “Pride and Prejudice” on repeat, and I like “Borat”. On our first date we watched “The Piano” – sure it wasn’t a great choice on my part, but not a bad film either. Our problem continues…..
Check out www.spill.com for some entertaining (but risqué) film reviews.

Sougia
I had to pick up Poppy from Hania this weekend, so took the opportunity to go to Sougia for a night, with Peggy (Danae’s sister) and her friend Eleni, who were staying in a communal tent. Eleni is one of the most talkative and pleasantly disorganised people I know.

Santorini Mou
Santorini Mou is a pleasantly surreal restaurant in Oia. EVERYONE has their photos taken and placed in a vistitors’ book. If you ever go we’re on the page for 10th October 2008. This is the message we left:
PICTURE TO COME (CONTAINS A SECRET!!).
The main man is quite proud of his celebrity clientèle.
Here he is with Jennifer Aniston, as shown on his business card.
And with Green Day on the back!

The Floating Chunder Bus 2
What I love about the Flyingcat is the motto: ‘How are you?’

The answer is: ‘Unwell’.
This is a vid of Danae enjoying the ride before she turned green.
And this is a pic of the steward asking Danae to stop filming.
As you can see Mum is just holding on.

Our First Couch Surfers.
For the uninitiated ‘Couch Surfers’ are people – usually foreign – who come and sleep on your couch. Last night we welcomed Noa and Nir from Israel to our house. And, of course, they were lovely and enlightened. Noa showed us all sorts of cool stuff that is going on in the world and on the internet, a sample of which is shown below…..
I’m sure you’ve heard all about this – I’ve obviously been living with my head in the sand.

The Floating Chunder Bus
This was an unforgettable experience. In force 7 gales the hydrofoil to Santorini was like a rollercoaster and waltzer combined. Honestly at least 30% of the 400-odd passengers were sick. Danae 3 times. With no outdoor area there was no respite from the chorus of dry wrenching. An awful way to travel. Videos to come….

Chicken In BBQ Sauce
I suppose this is turning into my signature dish – that used to be salmon en pappiotte, but I’m lazier now.
So as requested here’s the original recipe.
